A house is happy to announce that Atrium Ljungberg, a market leader in sustainable urban development, has acquired 50% of the shares in A house. The active co-founders will continue as co-owners and in their leadership roles.

Since our inception in 2016, A house has become a hub for innovative businesses, from the Stockholm School of Economics Business Lab to OMAKA’s development brewery.

A house now plans to expand to new locations in Stockholm and other major Swedish cities, including Atrium Ljungberg’s properties in Slussen and Slakthusområdet. In the next few years, the reborn Slussen area will become a new centre of gravity in Stockholm and A house’s new destination will be a creative bloodstream in the middle of it.

Atrium Ljungberg will invest in the future expansion of A house over the next few years. A house’s unique ability to create destinations with a strong personality based on the property’s character aligns with Atrium Ljungberg’s approach to urban development.

A house’s heritage is in the creative industries such as food, fashion, media, music, and film. Our ambition forward is to become a hub for creative development also in other industries that require innovation. For more sizable companies with their own HQ, A house’s destinations will form a network across the city that can be used as supplementary office space, with A house acting as a link between the head office and the home office.

”Atrium Ljungberg and we are children of the same spirit. We share a passion for the soul of places, preserving buildings, and believe that the best places are created in collaboration between those who operate there,” says Johan Almquist, co-founder of A house.
