About the role

As Community Manager, you are operationally responsible for A House’s membership business and serve as the House Director’s right hand in all matters concerning the destination. This role is instrumental in developing the current destination’s offering. You are a vital ambassador for our culture and key to driving both results and service to members.

Main tasks

● Together with the House Director and sales team, ensure that the premises are optimized and achieve budgeted revenue and results for studio, workclub, and lobby memberships.

● Conduct viewings and ongoing dialogue with new prospects, and ensure onboarding and offboarding.

● Draft contracts, keep membership lists and systems updated, and ensure the finance department has the necessary information for accurate invoicing.

● Ensure that the Front Desk delivers top-tier service to A House members and maintains high member satisfaction and a vibrant house in line with its niche.

● Together with the communicator and Community Coordinator, plan relevant program activities and communication for members, both through physical and digital channels.

● Responsible for the practical planning of operations for certain activations and involved in the execution of various member activities.

● Supervise the Community Coordinator for practical support with tasks such as member activities, implementation, and other house-related matters.

● Ensure that daily operations and service via the Front Desk run smoothly, and adjust/escalate when processes/routines need updating or are missing.

● Personnel/administrative responsibility for the reception and Front Desk Host.

● Contact with members for bookings of conferences and event venues, for example. Larger bookings are then project-managed by the Event team.

● Responsible for making purchases of items for the house with common sense and frugality. Any larger purchases are escalated to the House Director. (e.g., member activities, consumables)

● Be an active part of the “A House Community Managers” team to share challenges, ideas, and solutions.

● Support the House Director with various property-related matters, such as premises updates, etc.

● Positioned at the respective home destination with the possibility of occasional days of remote work after agreement with the manager.

Competency requirements

● Experience in the service industry and in leading service personnel.

● Experience in sales in some form and working with budgets.

● Administratively meticulous and possessing strong communication skills in both speech and writing.

Education and training

● High school education.

● University / other higher education is an advantage.

Contacts and cooperation

Requires good collaboration with others within A House, internal members, and external clients. Contact with external suppliers such as chefs, brands, cleaning services, etc.

Working conditions

Trusted working hours are primarily during regular office hours, 8 AM – 5 PM, but may involve some early mornings / late evenings, for example, when implementing program activities. Some possibility for remote work by agreement with the manager.

Other

All A house staff are expected to be pleasant, professional and to put the satisfaction of members and customers first. As the organization is small, all employees share the responsibility to take responsibility for handling things that otherwise risk falling through the cracks.
