A house – Destinations for creative development
A house creates niche destinations that offer workspaces, living rooms and social spaces to inspire creative development and innovation. Coworking, membership activities, customized spaces, event venues and hand-picked restaurants help give each meeting place a unique character.
New!
A house Katarinahuset has finally opened – a meeting place for collaboration and growth with the best view in Stockholm.
Three large floors with creative coworking, music stages and a vinyl bar under the auspices of Pet Sounds. All with the most boring view in town.

Destinationer
A house offers more than just coworking in four unique buildings in Stockholm: Östermalm, Gärdet, Slakthusområdet and Slussen, with more on the way. Each location is tailored to different creative niches, creating environments for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Members can share resources such as event spaces, lab kitchens, editing studios, meeting rooms and services.
Gärdet, Stockholm
Filmhuset is a melting pot of creative coworking, editing studios, event spaces, library, film studios, café and restaurant. It is also home to one of the world’s oldest and largest film archives. It’s simply “no ordinary fucking house”, as founder Harry Schein said.
Slussen, Stockholm
Stockholm’s new business district is emerging in Slussen. Katarinahuset, also known as KF-huset, has stood here since 1912. The building also offers creative coworking, bars, restaurants and inspiring member activities, but the view is reason enough to work here.
Östermalm, Stockholm
A brutalist living room in the old School of Architecture that houses creative coworking, event spaces and hand-picked restaurants. Named Sweden’s ugliest building – a feat in itself.
Slakthusområdet, Stockholm
The Slakthus area has long been a popular destination during weekends and evenings. During the day, it has been even quieter. That’s why we’ve created a brand new meeting place with a focus on music, design, food and drink, accompanied by ceiling paintings and fleshy Art Nouveau.
Sickla – Opening in 2025
Next to the future Sickla station, our next destination Sickla Central is now being built, a spectacular 25-storey building, surrounded by popular cultural arenas such as Nobelberget and Dieselverkstaden. Sickla Central will be a place where the city pulse and cultural life meet Nacka’s beautiful nature.
Community
We offer inspiring environments for businesses in the creative industries to connect, collaborate and grow. It’s more than coworking: it’s curiosity, learning, business opportunities and a unique creative force that makes A house special.
Become part of a community in motion.
Our vision
A house was founded in 2016 with a focus on creative industries that benefit from collaboration and strong ecosystems. We have learned what these industries need and how to create creative workplaces. Creative development is the foundation of A house.
Our history
We lacked a gathering place for the creative industries where co-creation is at the center. That was the start of A house.
