A house – Destinations for creative development
A house creates niche destinations for companies and freelancers. We offer workspaces, living rooms, and social residences to inspire creative development and innovation. Coworking, member activities, tailor-made spaces, event venues, and hand-picked restaurants contribute to giving each meeting place a unique character.
News!
Finally, A house Katarinahuset has opened – a meeting place for collaboration and growth with Stockholm’s best view. Three large floors with, among other things, creative co-working, music stages, and a vinyl bar run by Pet Sounds.
Membership
Desk, office, or a tailored solution? As a member, you also get to enjoy several benefits and access to a creative network.
As a member in our community, you get access to activities that make it easy to find new collaborations. Breakfast, yoga, lectures, and AWs are some examples. Choose between a lobby membership, a fixed place in the Workclub, a desk, or your very own office space. Whatever your needs, we’ll find a solution.
Event venues
Create your event in one of our iconic houses – where the venues set the stage, but you decide the content.
Our destinations include a variety of event venues, each with a unique history and idiosyncratic interior design concept. Here, everything from fashion shows and concerts to conferences and birthday parties have taken place. We’re curious to see what will happen next.
Destinations
A house offers more than just coworking in four unique buildings in Stockholm: Östermalm, Gärdet, Slakthusområdet, and Slussen, with more on the way. Each location is adapted to specific creative niches, creating environments for collaborations and knowledge exchange. Members can share resources such as event spaces, lab kitchens, editing studios, meeting rooms, and services.
Gärdet, Stockholm
Filmhuset (the House of Film) is a melting pot consisting of creative coworking, editing studios, event spaces, a library, film studios, a cafe, and a restaurant. Here you can also find one of the world’s oldest and largest film archives. Simply speaking, it’s “no ordinary damn house,” as the founder Harry Schein once said.
Slussen, Stockholm
Stockholm’s new business district is emerging in Slussen. Katarinahuset, also known as the KF house, has reigned here since 1912. The house now offers creative coworking, bars, restaurants, and inspiring member activities, but the view is reason enough to work here.
Östermalm, Stockholm
A brutalist living room in the old School of Architecture that houses creative coworking, event spaces, and hand-picked restaurants. Named “Sweden’s ugliest building” – an achievement in itself.
Slakthusområdet, Stockholm
Slakthusområdet (the Meatpacking District) has long been a popular destination during weekends and evenings. Daytime here has been all the quieter. Therefore, we have created a completely new meeting place focused on music, design, food, and drink, accompanied by ceiling paintings and meaty art nouveau.
Sickla, Nacka
Close to the future Sickla station, we are currently building our next destination, Sickla Central – a spectacular 25-story building surrounded by popular cultural arenas such as Nobelberget and Dieselverkstaden. Sickla Central will be a place where the pulse and cultural life of the city intersect with Nacka’s beautiful nature.
Community
We provide inspiring environments that help companies within creative industries discover community, foster collaborations, and grow. It’s more than just coworking; it’s about curiosity, learning, business opportunities, and the unique creative energy that makes A house special. Join a community in motion.
Our vision
Founded in 2016, A house is dedicated to fostering creative industries that thrive on collaboration and strong ecosystems. Over time, we’ve honed our understanding of what these industries need and how to craft spaces that inspire creativity. Creative development is the foundation of A house.
Our history
We longed for a hub where creative industries could come together with co-creation at the core. That vision sparked the beginning of A house.
