Myth becomes fashion

Since we moved into Filmhuset, we have been more or less obsessed with the Celsing Eye and the story behind it. The eye is built into the facade of Filmhuset and the story behind it is said to be that when the house was built, the architect Peter Celsing was forbidden to build windows on one short side of the house. The reason? The risk of espionage, as it is the side facing the Swedish Armed Forces’ offices. Celsing’s solution? A giant staring eye in the facade, facing the Armed Forces’ fenced buildings.

The truth of the matter is not confirmed, but when it came to developing our own collection for Filmhuset, we couldn’t stay away.

The collection is based on Celsing’s eye reinterpreted by the design studio @mimmiandx. Designed and produced at @tidymerch ‘s own factory in Tyresö. And of course organic.
