ByBarb offers a basic wardrobe of hair accessories and accessories that are made to last, both in terms of design and quality. Inside A house Ark’s workclub we find the entrepreneurs behind the brand, Sara and Hanna. They have what your hair needs to feel and look good – from hair clips, headbands and cords, to hair rollers and silk pillows.
Hi there! Would you like to tell us a bit about your idea and history?
– Our industry is a typical wear-and-tear business, with products that don’t last long or do your hair any good. So we want to offer the opposite – high quality products in timeless designs. We found that many customers didn’t know what they needed to take care of their hair, so we were inspired by the fashion world’s ‘basic wardrobe’ phenomenon and created the same concept for hair. We bring out the absolute most important products you need to take care of your hair in the best way.
Where do you find inspiration?
– We are very inspired by what is happening in both the beauty and fashion industries. We are at the intersection of the two, so it’s important to keep an eye on both! We are also inspired by the world of interior design.
What is your dream?
– To have a natural place in every woman’s hair wardrobe, and we would like to expand our concept internationally, both on the web(bybarb.se) and through retailers.
Who is your typical customer?
– The woman “on the go” who wants the best for her hair and some luxury in her hair wardrobe.
What is the hair accessory of hair accessories?
– It has to be the hair tie, though! Those who say they don’t use any hair accessory at all still use a hair tie when needed. A crazy practical accessory with endless possibilities of variation!
Which hair accessory has been trending the most in 2024?
– The hair clips! We thought they peaked in 2023, but their heyday continues and is worn by many different hair and styles.
What do you predict will be your favorite hair in 2025?
– The hairbrush. People are becoming more and more enlightened and many are starting to realize that your hairbrush and brushing technique are crucial to the quality of your hair! Different brushes are suitable for different occasions, hair types and styles. We believe that 2025 will be the year when many people update their brush wardrobes!
Where do you go on AW in the area?
– We love Bar Nîmes. Simple, luxurious and delicious. Just like ByBarb!
Which accessory always saves a bad hairday?
– The clip is a life-saver! A little dry shampoo for freshness and volume, then a nice and sloppy set with a clip and you have saved the worst of hair days.
What is A house for you?
– A house and Ark is an incredibly creative and inspiring place to work! There is a great vibe and community feeling among the members that always puts you in a happy mood when you come here. We have also found partners in the house, which makes it great for our business too!
Where in the area do you prefer to have lunch?
– We like to buy take away and sit in the lobby. California rolls from Flying Fish are a favorite!
