Do the Right Thing

With a sneak preview in the bag, we have now officially kicked off Filmhuset’s new analog film club! First up was a full evening with Spike Lee’s masterpiece Do the Right Thing on a well-played 35 mm reel. Starting with a conversation with Nathan Hamelberg and creator Maria “Decida” Wahlberg about the legacy of the film, its importance for hip hop and how Do the Right Thing was the first in a wave of films that changed the image of black America in Sweden.

The pizzas sold out, the translation was unforgettably dated and we can’t wait for the next show.
