What drives the workplace of the future #2

A HOUSE X BECKMANS SCHOOL OF DESIGN

What drives the workplace of the future? For three months, the Visual Communication graduating class at Beckmans, in collaboration with A house, has explored the question and developed various solutions. Here are two of the works:

Title: – Catharsis
Emilia Lind, Jonatan Modin and Sofia Di Marco

“The contemporary use of teleworking points to a virtual workplace of the future. We believe that the lack of contact between colleagues during remote work is due to limited technical conditions. In our work, we depict a future workplace where new technology instead enhances collegial contact in unexpected ways.”

Title: 54 Minutes
Tiffany Louise Hoff and Sanna Holm

“With a visual communicative publication, based on Danish research and GDP figures, we highlight that women do 54 minutes more care work per day than men. In order to have a conversation about what will drive the future of the labor market, we believe that we first need to discuss gender equality in society, such as in the labor market. By reaching out with information to workplaces and individuals, our question can open up conversations about gender-equal economics and expectations around care work. The conversations can hopefully drive unfair workloads to an end and create better conditions for everyone in the workplace.”
