“Life is too short for it to hurt.”
From Allsvenskan and vacuum cleaner sales in Singapore to high-level team development business coach. Meet Björn Levin, the founder of WeMakers, who helps groups achieve their biggest goals by creating safety, interaction and strong collaborations – both at work and in life.
Hi Bjorn! Can you tell us a bit about your trip?
– My first job was my boyhood dream – I played full-time football in the Allsvenskan for five years. Sat on the bench a lot, but had the best seat in Sweden to study team dynamics up close. Then I sold vacuum cleaners in Singapore (true story) and then started an advertising agency that I ran for nine years. Now I run WeMakers!
We want to know more! What does Wemakers do?
– We build teams that make a difference – at work and in life. WeMakers helps management teams and teams develop the interpersonal skills needed to perform at their best: clear feedback, psychological safety and accountability. We identify what can be improved and train teams in the skills needed to work better together, reach their goals and have fun along the way – from MeMakers to WeMakers.
What is something that other members can ask you about?
– About conflict in a group or between two people. Life is too short for it to hurt, and I love helping people find their way forward. And if it’s your birthday, you’re stuck for ideas, and you’re not sure how to create a lifelong memory with new and old friends – give me a call. I promise to make something you’ll smile about!

We hear you’re a whiz at elevator pitches – tell us more! Heard the story of Josephine Fahlstedt from our Creative Director Richard.
– Haha, yes! For me it’s about living what we teach. In a mission where energy was low and everything felt a bit gray, I stuck to my simple recipe as a leader: 50 minutes of focus, 10 minutes of culture – help someone, give a smile, make someone laugh. One day Josefin came by, unknown to me at the time, but with an idea that needed some new energy. A few open questions, some tough love and a teddy bear hug later, we had both been pushed forward. Since then we have shared both pep and perspective.

Here we take a detour and check in with Josephine: Hi Josephine! What has Björn meant to you and your career?
– Björn entered my life just over two years ago with curiosity and an open heart. Already at the first meeting at Ark, when he said “Do you want a perspective, girls?”, I felt that something great was about to start. Since then, a deep friendship has developed – and Björn has become an invaluable mentor. With confidence, clarity and love, he has helped me take important steps in both career and life. Björn, I love you! Keep being exactly who you are, you are needed!

Back to Björn! What is the best thing about your job?
– The best part is when a group goes from feeling like a Robinson team – where everyone fights separately – to a real team that trusts each other, cares and achieves goals together. And also like when one participant told me that their partner said: “I don’t know what you’ve done, but they’ve even improved at home.“

What does the rest of the year look like?
– We have several exciting groups going on, with both tough and fun challenges. Three times a year we meet out in the archipelago to train EQ, build teams – and have fun. There will be laughter, competitions and good food in an inspiring environment. We leave from Berth 17 and return 1.5 days later – but no one is allowed to go ashore until you have said what needs to be said, let go of what is holding you back, and passed your driving license in teamwork.
How did you end up at A house?
– A friend tipped me off! So I went here and immediately felt that here is both heart and brain.
Most fun member activity you have attended at A house?
– The Community Table lunch, where people make new contacts and gain perspective on their own ideas.
Where on Ark do you prefer to sit?
– I prefer to work in the courtyard – A yard.
Which outdoor restaurant can you be found at this summer?
– Freyja’s roof terrace on Hornsgatan.
What is the talk of the town right now?
– That we have worked a little too much and forgotten to celebrate, make colleagues smile and say some half-baked things from time to time.
What is your favorite song?
– Shared first place: Summer Card with Cornelis Vreeswijk and Yazoo Situation 12 Remix.
Finally, what is your best tip for rainy summer days?
– Just watched The OC with my kids, still going strong!
