Do the Right Thing

With a sneak peek in the bag, we have now officially kicked off the Filmhuset’s new analog film club! First up was an evening with Spike Lee’s masterpiece Do the Right Thing on a well-played 35 mm reel. It began with a conversation with Nathan Hamelberg and creator Maria “Decida” Wahlberg about the legacy of the film, its importance to hip hop, and how Do the Right Thing was the first in a wave of films that changed the image of Black America in Sweden.

The pizzas sold out, the translation was unforgettably dated and we can’t wait for the next show.
