Bespoke – The tailored membership
Just a few years ago, the concept of “coworking” was virtually new in Sweden. Since then, much has happened in the market, and the range of different types of coworks has exploded. In the wake of the corona crisis, we are seeing what we believe will be the next major shift. We have become accustomed to working from home, and the office is becoming the place employees and freelancers visit on selected occasions to be creative together, have project reviews, meet customers, and, of course, for purely social reasons. Our CEO, Tua Asplund, envisions a future with more customized and tailored solutions at A house.
Tua, what is A house doing to respond to this shift?
T: What we are launching now is Bespoke Membership. For companies, it is an opportunity to “smartsise.” Instead of renting many square meters that are empty when many employees work from home, you rent a combination of rooms a couple of days a week and flexible spaces with us, and get to come to a vibrant meeting place with access to a lot of space, great flexibility, and shorter contracts. A customized corporate membership can also include standing reservations for board and management team meetings, access to large event venues for conferences, and a daily dose of service and activities that weld together the new era’s dispersed team.
It’s a shift that suits us very well; we have different areas for different purposes. Open-plan offices have received some criticism; some may feel disturbed, so we also offer quiet zones. At the same time, humans are social and want to meet, get energy, and feel the creativity that you experience from meeting; then our lobby is perfect.
“For companies, it is an opportunity to move from “Space as a function” to “Space as a service”
What are the advantages for the individual and the companies?
T: It is well-suited for the individual who wants to use the home office to work undisturbed but also have dedicated time in the office with colleagues. At the same time, the pressure on public transport decreases when more people travel to the office fewer days a week, which is good for society as a whole. For companies, it is an opportunity to move from “Space as a function” to “Space as a service.” The office no longer consists of four walls but is a tailored solution based on the specific needs of the business.
How do I apply for a Bespoke membership?
T: You contact one of our membership tailors who listens to your needs, how many you are, and finds a good solution for you. Email vilma@ahouse.se and she will help you further!
