What drives the workplace of the future #3

A HOUSE X BECKMANS SCHOOL OF DESIGN

What drives the workplace of the future? The Visual Communication graduating class at Beckmans, in collaboration with A house, has developed various solutions. Let us present the last three works:

Title: Mirroring
Emilia Lind, Jonatan Modin and Sofia Di Marco

“Mirroring is a human behavior in which we unconsciously mimic the characteristics, body language and emotions of others. Mirroring psychology also affects us through the spaces we occupy, and the workplace of the future is a place that more and more people can shape themselves. What kind of place do we want to be when we know that it’s more than aesthetics that matter and what are the results of our productivity, creativity, morale and motivation when we mirror our surroundings?”

Music: Jesper Nicklasson
Model: Bosse Jansson

Title: BOXED-IN
Nayra Aly

“The workplace is supposed to foster encounters, innovation and inclusion, but today’s reality rarely reflects this. Despite the talk of diversity, real change is often lacking and it sometimes feels like the point is completely missed. ‘BOXED-IN’ is a short film that highlights the problem of lack of diversity in its simplest form so that the point cannot be missed.”

Title: The Shift
Noah Constantinou, Adam Arinbjarnarson, Måns Horning and Gabriella Roos Redemo

“The prioritization between work and relationships is something we all face and we are influenced by factors such as work culture, the time of day and generational affiliation. Historically, work has been characterized by duty and loyalty, but today’s generations, especially Generation Z, are questioning the work-life balance and taking an existential view of what life should be. At the same time, views on remuneration, working hours and why we work have changed over time. The Shift project sheds light on these perspectives and aims to create cross-generational conversations and understanding to explore what is worth prioritizing in life.”
