Heritage

A house is reinventing the radical brutalist ideas that lay the foundation of the former Architect school in Stockholm.

Inaugurated in 1970, the purpose of the building was to be a machine to educate architects for the accelerating urbanization (not for living as Le Corbusier famously launched). When the architect students moved out in 2015, the strategy for transforming the building was to use the existing design – built on ideas of democracy and transparency – and to update these values to our times. The building itself has many times been voted “the ugliest in Stockholm.”

The impact of new technologies and the rapid transformation of society has had a large impact on how we work, live, create and make business. It changes our behavior and habits. Venues that are a combination of workplaces and event spaces for new experiences are becoming increasingly important. A house is carefully curated to take shape as a “refined machine for creative development” with a particular focus on fashion, food, music and media. We provide a deliberately organized space and a community with more than 500 members. Our foundation is that innovation is a matter of dialogue, networks and interdisciplinary connections.

”A house is a catalyst to help your creativity flourish”
